Our philosophy is to guarantee personalized care tailored to individual needs, in a warm and welcoming environment. The patient is at the heart of our concerns, which is why all our staff are dedicated to providing high Quality care.
Our mission is to do our utmost so that all our patients may benefit from their treatment with maximum safety and comfort. This patient service requires impeccable technical skills, but also human values that we consider fundamental: availability, attentiveness, presence, respect, ethics, tolerance, support, authenticity, and benevolence.
Our entire care team is well aware of the challenges of chronic treatment and will welcome you with a smile and good humor.
The kidneys play an essential role in our body’s regulatory mechanisms. They ensure the balance of water and mineral salts, as well as the elimination of metabolic waste. They also have a hormonal role in regulating blood pressure, producing red blood cells, and bone metabolism.
Many diseases can affect the kidneys; while some are rare (immunological diseases), others are very common (hypertension, diabetes). Most of these diseases are painless and are only detected through additional examinations.
Nephrological follow-up is therefore important to confirm a suspected kidney disease and then to manage it with specific treatments aimed at stopping the progression of kidney damage.
If necessary, nephrological follow-up also allows for preparation for the initiation of renal replacement therapy such as dialysis or transplantation. In this case, nephrological follow-up will continue afterwards to ensure specialized care for dialyzed or transplanted individuals.
Information
You can refer your patients to the specialized nephrology consultation for the following areas:
Our outpatient center is a space specifically dedicated to patients requiring the administration of intravenous or subcutaneous treatments, whether for medications (such as iron, antibiotics, anti-rejection therapy for transplant patients), blood transfusions, or phlebotomies. We are available to all physicians, both general practitioners and specialists, to organize the desired medical care.
Our care center has been designed to offer maximum comfort, allowing patients to relax in a calm and welcoming environment throughout their treatment. A nurse provides continuous presence, and a physician sees each patient, thus ensuring optimal safety.
Gastroenterology activity:
For several years, we have been welcoming patients suffering from Chronic Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD) who come regularly for their treatment.
When the gastroenterologist has determined the indication for a therapy requiring administration with monitoring, our mission is to apply the established treatment plan and ensure rigorous monitoring as well as attentive follow-up for possible side effects. Since chronic bowel diseases can also affect other organs, we also coordinate multidisciplinary care with other specialties, such as dermatology and rheumatology.
Quavitae Rive Gauche collaborates with the GGHA (Geneva Gastroenterology and Hepatology Associates SA) endoscopy center for the management of patients with chronic inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) benefiting from intravenous or subcutaneous biological treatments.
Quality of care is guaranteed by our establishment’s multi-disciplinary approach and cutting-edge medical equipment.
